What is the planetary gearbox?

Planetary gearing is a gear system consisting of one or more outer pinions, revolving about a central sun gear. Simple planetary gears have one sun, one ring, one carrier, and one planet set. A carrier connects the canters of the two gears and rotates to carry one gear called the planet gear around the other called the sun gear. The planet and sun gears mesh so that their pitch circles roll without slip. A point on the pitch circle of the planet gear traces an epicycloid curve.

What is the harmonic gearbox?

Harmonic gearing system also known as strain wave gearing is a type of mechanical gear system that uses a flexible spline with external teeth, which is deformed by a rotating elliptical plug to engage with the internal gear teeth of an outer spline. The circular spline is a rigid circular ring with teeth on its inside. The flex spline and wave generator are placed inside the circular spline, meshing the teeth of the flex spline and the circular spline. Because the flex spline is deformed into an elliptical shape, its teeth only actually mesh with the teeth of the circular spline in two regions on opposite sides of the flex spline.

What is cycloidal gearbox?

Precision reduction gear SRV-E is a reduction gear for precise motion control which uses a planetocentric reduction gear mechanism. SRV-E series is developed for robotic industries. The compact and light weight could reduce the inertia of robot swing to achieve more precise positioning. What is hollow rotary gearbox?

The input power from the motor is directly given to the input gear mounted at bottom of gearbox where then power is transferred to the cross-roller bearing mounted on the outer ring gears through intermediate helical gears.
